In 1960, Baylor University's yell leaders introduced the Bear Claw or "Sic 'Em, Bears" hand sign made by slightly curving all five fingers inward to form a claw.
Similarly, the Texas State University hand sign is the "Eat 'Em Up, Cats" sign which is made by holding the hand in the shape of a bobcat paw.
Our PRIZE Brass Bear Claw or Bobcat Claw Hand Sculpture makes a great congratulatory gift for Baylor University and Texas State University students, graduates, and alumni alike!
PRIZE Sculptures are created using the ancient method of lost wax casting and then are polished by hand to achieve a high gloss finish. The bottom of each Sculpture is felted to protect any surface.
Each PRIZE Brass Sculpture comes in an organic cotton drawstring bag. A polishing kit, including a pair of reusable gloves, one trial size reusable fine metals polishing cloth, and a microfiber buffing cloth, is included.
